Annual report
The annual report and cost statements are due by end January 1999. The
following set of deadlines was agreed.
A. JRY sends details and forms to each Scientist-in-charge & YVR.
Deadline 1st Dec.
B. YVRs + scientists-in-charge send JRY an informal summary of
activities, publications etc. Deadline 20th Dec.
C. Scientists-in-charge are responsible for preparing and sending
signed cost statements. Deadline 15th Jan.
D. JRY compiles everything and sends to EC. Deadline, to arrive by
30th Jan.
Mid Term Review and Second Workshop
Arrangements for the next meeting and mid term review were discussed. It
was agreed that they should take place at Blagnac in September 1999,
exact date to be settled asap by JRY in consultation with the EU. The
workshop will be 3 days long followed by 1 day for the mid term review
(attendance: all scientists-charge, all YVRs, external scientific
reviewer, EU representative). JRY will arrange preparation of mid term
report in advance of the meeting.
Funding issues
The TMR rules for funding were discussed. Possible sources of funding for
scientific activities not allowed by TMR rules were discussed. HRT
indicated that he might be able to find funds for some such essential
activities.
Workshop Report
It was agreed that an extended Workshop Report should be prepared both to
document the workshop and review activity. In particular all contributors
to the workshop would be strongly encouraged to submit extended
abstracts. VU would produce and distribute the report, with editorial
input by JvH, SB, PZ and JRY.
WWW Site
JRY demonstrated the CODENET WWW Site developed by himself and Markus
Geisen. It was agreed that all participants should be encouraged to use
this as a prime means of communication. JRY undertook to arrange to post
any suitable material submitted by participants on the site (including
conversion of documents to HTML) or to place links on the site to pages
hosted on other participants WWW sites.
