      N.B. This is essentially a summary of ideas, some of which are more definite than others.
       
      14-15 June 1999 - CODENET Cruise, Lisbon
      Organiser: Mario Cachão
      Concept: a 1 day cruise, sampling a transect north of Lisbon, across the Portuguese Shelf and into oceanic water. An informal seminar would be held the preceding afternoon. This would provide a set of samples for co-ordinated study and a training opportunity for scientists without cruise experience. Mario Cachão (Lisbon) is reviewing the feasibility.
