These micrographs illustrate nannofossils commonly used for biostratigraphic correlation in the Gulf of Mexico and other Neogene basins. The majority of these species are referenced in standard nannofossil zonal schemes and nannofossil literature, but the few which are not common to these zonations are included because they are useful in the subject area for purposes of correlation.
